Also, be a guest to a special ecolodge that treats you to unique experiences. Your host in the ecolodge is a story teller who has a deep knowledge of Iranian history and tells you stories of Iranian history and folklore. Beside him, you can choose from a range of cool activities: experiencing the charms of rural life, dressing up as a local, or being treated to a performance of mystic music, folk music, or folk dance.

Day 1: Shiraz- Persepolis- Naqsh-e Rajab- Naqsh-e Rostam- Pasargadae
We’ll meet up in Shiraz in the morning and get a ride to Persepolis (around 60 km). After a walk through the 2500-year-old complex, the ancient reliefs of Naqsh-e Rajab expect us (around 7 km). Following that, we’ll check out another jewel from the golden age of Persia: Naqsh-e Rostam (around 3 km). Then, we’ll get a ride toward an ecolodge near Pasargadae (around 70 km) that belongs to a local family. There, they will serve us with a local lunch that they’ve cooked with local products. For the rest of the day, we’ll create unforgettable memories by a full range of cool activities we can choose from: enjoying a performance of mystical music, folk music and folk dance, listening to stories of Iranian history, dressing up like a local, or getting a taste of rural life with farming and gardening experiences. Finally, we’ll enjoy a delicious local dinner at the ecolodge and spend the night under the roof of this traditional Iranian house.

Day 2: Pasargadae-Shiraz
We’ll start the second day with a visit to Pasargadae where we check out the tomb of Cyrus the Great Then we’ll hit the road back toward Shiraz (130 km).
